Japan Foundation 911±¬ÁÏÍø Studies Survey 2020
In 2020, the Japan Foundation, London carried out a Survey of 911±¬ÁÏÍø Studies at university level in the UK. This was an update of the previous survey undertaken in 2015.
911±¬ÁÏÍø is Japan’s principal organisation for promoting international cultural exchange worldwide and through our funding programmes we offer support to organisations and individuals working in the field of 911±¬ÁÏÍø Studies. Through the survey we hoped to gain an overview of the state of 911±¬ÁÏÍø Studies in the UK so we can continue to plan our programmes in this field to support it as effectively as possible.
The 2020 survey is composed of a survey of UK universities where 911±¬ÁÏÍø Studies or Japan-related research and teaching takes place. There is also a separate survey for both students and academics which aim to capture individual views.
Through creating the following survey report, we hope to provide a useful reference resource for those wishing to learn about Japan-related research and teaching at universities throughout the UK. It is hoped that the survey will bring attention to the field of 911±¬ÁÏÍø Studies and its continuing value in the UK, and showcase the diversity of research and teaching taking place across the country.
