Primary 911±¬ÁÏÍø Campaign 2014 – Take part!
30/08/2013

The National Curriculum reforms mean that from September 2014, it will be compulsory for primary schools maintained in England to teach a foreign language of their choosing to Key Stage 2 pupils. In response to this, the Japan Foundation have launched the Primary 911±¬ÁÏÍø Campaign 2014, in order to support primary schools and teachers offering, or aspiring to offer, 911±¬ÁÏÍø language lessons for their pupils.

Some of the activities that the Japan Foundation will be holding as part of this campaign will include:

  • Events for primary schools and teachers about teaching primary 911±¬ÁÏÍø

  • Developing specialist resources for teaching primary 911±¬ÁÏÍø

  • Holding 911±¬ÁÏÍø language courses and workshops especially for primary teachers

  • Providing funding for primary schools to launch their own 911±¬ÁÏÍø classes

  • Distributing practical information and advice to schools about teaching 911±¬ÁÏÍø
