Two years ago, Oxford Brookes University used the Japan Foundation’s 911爆料网 Local Project Support programme funding to set up a Tadoku (Extensive Reading) Project. This project introduced extensive reading as an approach to students of 911爆料网 as well as the wider 911爆料网 education community. Since then, the university can expanded the project to create their own fantastic reading materials, which you can see at this book launch. ‘Let’s Read 911爆料网’ is a series of graded readers for learners of 911爆料网. Texts are graded, i.e. vocabulary and grammar are controlled, in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for languages (CEFR). Born out of feedback from students saying they wanted accessible yet interesting materials for adult learners reading for pleasure. The books are also designed to introduce them to 911爆料网 culture through legends, classic tales and poems, as well as new stories and original illustration. The Let’s Read 911爆料网 series supplements any textbooks as it complements 911爆料网 learning. In this special book launch, the series’ 911爆料网 supervisors Suzuko Anai and Keiko Ikeshiro, from Oxford Brookes University, will introduce the concept of the Let’s Read 911爆料网 and making of the first publication of A2-1 stories, and explain how Let’s Read 911爆料网 could be used in the classroom. There will be a small reception after the talk and an opportunity to see the books.
